That is what I was thinking, I have been looking at them and just been trying to figure out how a single battery that size can put out that kind of current, just doesn't make sense. So they do a good job of keeping your voltage up? How long have you had them, if I am going to drop over a grand on a battery I want it to last a long ass time.

I got ya, that is why I asked, trying to figure out why you would be spending your time on this. And you are aware that low voltage will smoke an amp, just making sure you know, cuz some people have no clue. I hate for that to happen that is why I asked about how you planed on running it. They are 14v and can run at 16 v too. They just do more current at 12 and 14 volts but they are hella expensive.

Nice I am looking at changing my 2400's and getting something diff maybe DCpower or something else, I want to go with some 14v batts, my only problem is size

Yeah look at the extreme, that is kind of scary cuz of the cost and I wonder how long they last, cuz the kinetik go a long long time. You could get (2) 8400 and replace all of your kinetiks jonatan

Oh ok Kyles are the batt cap4000

they have a 9600amp that is 12v. the 8400 amp is 16v, and its what they use inside that makes them so good, as for keeping it up with one batcap on 4 d9s it drops from 17.7 to 15 flat, with 2 8400s it drops to 16.5, that was with no charging, now i have a 300amp alternator, but before i would just use one of their 16v chargers, just dont let them sit forever, or they will be an expensive door stop, they need charged on a bi weekly basis when in storage not being used, that is their drawback

That's what I sold Kyle 2 for 400

the extremes are discontinued, i had one, they were good but worse to use than the 8400, and i use my 8400 daily, but to do that you have to tie up some money for charging.

as in any other hobby, you gotta pay to play lol

That's one think I don't like to have to charge them on and on, I have had my 2400's for over a year beating everyday and not once have I charged them and they are on a stock alt, talked to their rep he said I could get their 80amp charger and use it one every monthly or six weeks and just plug it up over night and that would top them off,

So if you have a 350 amp alt and drive daily would you ever need to charge two of these 8400's? And you are saying you charged them up to 16 volts and then played them? How did you charge them to 18 if they were at 17.7? How long they last? Sorry for the 20 questions.......LOL

Yes the kinetiks are awesome, it just takes more then one to keep voltage up, mines dips down to 13.2 even with my 350 amp alt, but then it comes back up.

When I got my alt went out first time I drove truck over 1,500 miles with just my batts
