That happened because of too much port area with a low note, over excursion. Just don't play a low note with alot of port area, which he found out last night.

it sounded to me like it was when he did the burp.

No I talked to him last night on the phone, it wasn't from the burp at 62 hz, it was like a 31 hz note. He will be fine with the next sub, just don't play a low note like that on alot of port area in a box that size.

Yea that's the plan/
Haven't taken it out so haven't seen coil, rusty is going to make recone way beter with beter glues

the port is not big. it is what they recommend for daily.

That exact size port is what they recommend for daily? The port area and length, I find that hard to believe they recommend a 60 hz port for daily.

I just tried to find the T/S specs on that sub, dc never spec'd that sub, so they don't even know....LOL WOW, so how could they recommend a port size for it anyway without the T/S specs? That is crazy.

it is tuned to 45 and yes that is the size rusty told us to do, he told us to tune to 35 for daliy.

yea i could not find them either, rusty said they never ran the parameters

Was the box under 8 cubes internal volume? If it was then that is too much port area for a low note.

these subs like more port 12.5 sq inch of port per cube make them choke alittle. it is the same formula as DD,AQ,and RD use for their subs.

If that is the case then why did the sub blow with really not that much power for what that sub is rated at for a burp?

It blew cuz amps wernt strapped had one rf 1500 per coil and they were match set even if they were they would have blow sub

If that is what you think when you get the sub reconed, play that 31 hz note again and see what happens...LOL.
