Beebe October 8

Poor Boyz Car Audio is hosting a car show and spl competition on October 8 at the Beebe Baseball Fields (Exit #29 on Hwy 67). When I have the start time, I will post it on this thread.

The owner of Poor Boyz wants this to be a fun event so he is open to suggestions from competitors. For now, he is trying to decide on the DB Warz style (1, 2, 3, 4+ woofers) or surface area divisions. To get some newbies and more local interest, I am trying to talk him into a begineer class that is for first-time competitors only.

I don't think he's doing trophies, but instead, plans on paying back a large portion of entry fees as a purse. He has let me know that this is a fund raiser for his church as well; so it's also for a good cause.

Looks like entry will be $10 for two runs, $5 for extra runs, and $15 for three runs and a Poor Boyz t-shirt.

If you have suggestions, post em up and I will pass them on!

i know personally i like the DB Warz style just because its more relaxed and the beginner class sounds like a good idea. ill be there

if its burping i would say do cone area, but if its music then number of subs.

1st Annual Poor Boyz Car and Bike Show AND Sound Off

October 8, starting at 10 AM

Beebe Ball Park. Hwy 67/167 Exit 29

Classes: 1 sub, 2 subs, 3 subs, 4+ AND Beginner (1st time competitors only)

Entry fees:

$10 for two runs
$15 for four runs and a t-shirt
$5 for additional runs

Each run will be 30 seconds long on the TL, "burp" style (peak NOT average). Tones or music, it's your choice.

There are cash prizes for first place in each class. Pay out will be determined by entries and it appears to be winner take all for each class. I'll let everyone know if I find out different.

On an additional note, the Beebe Park's director says we only get one chance to make this work. So please, please, please, be respectful of the parks. Don't leave trash, do burnouts, etc. . .

This will also be a good warm-up for the Wake the Dead show (two weeks after this one).

If this show goes well, there will be more at this location! I'd love to see some ARSPL events here next year, it's only 1 mile from my house.

Have mercy on me and run the 2 sub class! I'll be there in my wagon with one of the cheap 15s, it will probably only do about a 141.

If I get beat I get beat, no biggie. But i'm sure i'll still impress some people

i might be getting away from their subs too, probably end up running their amps again though.

what you thinkin of changin to?

Their amps seem to be really good, never ran them and don't plan to as long as my aq amp stays together.
