| yes it has many names bondo-glass, duraglass, everglass. as for using it for making a mdf box stronger i think its too expensive. some dowel rods and a little fiberglass and your good to go. the only reason i used it was because it an easy way to get something thick fast. | |

| Why not just use sea glass, it is what I use and it is very cheap, made by evercoat and it is cross woven 1/4 thick fiberglass mat. It is great for building fiberglass boxes that need alot of strength. | |

| I like that ...
<props>
I've never been a big fan of full-fiberglass enclosures, primarily due to the time it takes to build them, then some weaknesses as compared to MDF, but in this circumstance, there was no better route to go I don't think.
That's good stuff though... I like that...
I hated the idea of using fiberglass on boxes for a long time, but when I started designing more complex boxes, (especially horns) it became my life saver, and a great aesthetic aid. I don't think theres a box that I don't use at least a little bit of fiberglass on it somewhere nowdays. | |

| yea I had no choice if i wanted a sub it had to be fiberglass. plus i wanted to see if i could do it. i learned alot of do's and don't. Don't use old glue! Take your time. Test fit often. | |
