| I get where you are coming from, you build to test and try new things, I can also see James point as well. It comes from your background on how you do things, I to will model the setup before hand, and alot of this comes from when I worked in a shop and installed. That is why I was lmao with I read what sanman posted about his first system. I saw that comin before I even finished reading. Mostly because when most people come into a shop, there definition of LOUD is different then yours and mine, and when they say, I want a loud system and want to be a world champion, you will usually get that same response, they will laugh cuz they are thinking you don't go to a shop to be a world champion you build it yourself and test. Alot of the boxes, setups, I build are for daily and do spl, so I model them so I am not blindly guessing for a starting point AND I also ask questions of what has worked, I am firm believer in working smarter, not harder. I have done the trail and error method and modeling, and modeling is faster everytime. Now it may not be for you since your method of trial and error may be different then mine. But we all use what works, you don't have to use our method, mine and James to prove a point. We will still do things that same way, why, because it works for us. Just my view. | |

| Back to my question 5 pages back. Yes I have the red tacoma double cab. this year I will be running a DDm1b and a DD2515 dual 2. Are you thinking 1 4" areo for the 2 cubes? Oh and yes as the box got smaller so did the port, and all but the last one was slot. I did try 2 6" ports in 3.5 cubes but I was still way down. | |

| in an extended cab tecoma 2 15's arent exactly the ideal way to acheive the best results
3 15's will be killer in it man, and no aeroports at all one huge ass slot port will be the best best if you need some pics let me know.
as for the d9 is comparable with a 3500 this isnt even close to being true.
the 3500 is buult off a 3k watt bord as to where the d9 is off a 5k bord
i have tested both amplifiers
d9 .22 12v with a rise of 1 ohm 6800 watts/16v 10k 3500 .22 12v with a 1 ohm rise 5k watts/16v 7200

And I believe Rob will be sticking to just 1 15, so he won't be going to two or even three.

| to be hinest a bench test is worthless unless you want to obtain rating for the amplifier to be rated at
in car is the only way to do this i ran 2 d9's in my cobalt last year in pittsberg kansas on 2 audioque sd2.5 12's i clamped over 12k on them on 2 nsb100 bateries

| I think you guys forget this is not USACI. We use sq.in. classes. Most of these guys are using family oriented rides. Rob i know has to throw the box in the back seat of the truck then take it out after the comp so the Kiddos can ride in the back lol

| Well man ok it all depend on how far u r willing to go what I do is gross as close to peak on a ride if u have tried this an that u mite have mist it somwere . I mite can't tell u how to hit it close iv never mest with a truck like that .what o do is a lot of hard work but the only way to get extremely loud is hard work .if u tell me that it dose best at 5cub that's hard for me to believe .its all about what the truck wants like when u move seats it dosnt change Hz it changes the wave an direction things like that . When I tell u how to test ports pvc is the easiest way an the loudest now I'm talking about fine tuning after box it is hard work that's why I said how far u want to go . I would start around 2 to 2.5 sub up port to driver side Mic on passenger. If u had sub back to seat port up I would say it was louder that way cuz the box is to big an u were having loading problems. Remember cab testing takes a lot of time right everything down an do one thing at a time. If opening the glovecompartment an its 5 tenth an u open console its 2tenth down if u do both at same time it will show 3tenth up when u should be 5 up see . I know I'm going all over give me d tail of truck an I will try to help thanks | |

| the best setup for a extended cab pickup is either 3 15's or 4
i have the loudest unmanned 3 15's score and mark bruce has the 4 15's loudest

| the tube things was set to rest when timmay showed it can be done i mean he only had 2 5ks on his 163 run on less cone area now add more cone and power and you can see how 163.6 was done with 2 people in the crx | |

| again i dont think you are grasping the concept. These guys work in classes designed around cone area not just power. He would be doing say 2 15s instead of 3 or 4 to stay in a lower class.
