Come on. I guess you don't need a to do any math, find resonant or do any actual figuring for yourself if you have someone else designing for you. Now your making more since with the don't figure anything just drop it in and test theory

| The only thing you have taught me is you talk and don't listen to others. If you were listening you would know i agree with you on just about all of it. except the way your saying to just throw a box in and guess a port and test, test, and then test some more. You have not givin your way to get to a good starting point at all. Only tryed to bash my method. Not because it works either, but because i said PC in the same post. You wanna teach? Explain how to get a good starting point for a build.
As for my numbers? You don't know shit about me. I have not built anything to compete in years. When i say years that like over 10. But like i said my 0-250 car was just as loud as the one you guys brought and with less then half the power and was as you like to call it a one day drop in.
If you want to teach something then show them a how to figure a good starting point. Not just say oh drop a box in, guess a port and test. Thats just retarded to me.
I know that enclosure you have in the Van was mathematical figured in more then just enclosure volume to give a starting point to go from.

| What the @#$% is goin on... i come back from bein out all night and i have to read 12 or so pages to catch up,...
on a side note, that blue dodge was just dropped in. built it with zero testing in the truck for a peak, but modeled something on winisd to get my port dimensions and popped it in. and not too bad of a score.
i always start with a program to see what my port length need to be to get to a specific tuning, then lengthen or shorted in from there.
i do like aeroports over slots for the ease of adjusting tuning, but i like a nice kerf port too

Ok so now we are at about the 4th or 5th time now you neglect the simple question i asked you. How do you find your starting point for a build? Just throw a box and add a port and hope you can get it to work?

| If you wanna be taught go to school. If you wanna get loud watch and learn. We are or at least tryin to help. BUt apparently since we don't use a computerwe're idiots. You talk Shit about our drop in systems but yet you claim oh I was doin same number but half power. IF you are the queen bee around here then bring it. ALl you want because the number you saw this year wasn't impressive to us. WE thought it would win and holy crap we were right.. as for the comment about me buying my van yea so what. I feel I made the best choice I could've made.. talk Shit all you want. I promise I ain't losing no sleep over it. BUt I'm better you won't try your luck against it.. I welcome you. I love competition. Make my day. And by the way no I did no math. FUck math.. but something tells me you can do the math on what the difference between our score is.... without a computer.. see ya'll at usaci finals!!! | |

| So just build a box add ports and hope it works.
So what if using 8 were louder simply because airspace was better suited to the subs and vehicle? Or the fact that you started to high on tune in the first place because the net is to low per sub? This is where math up front is nice to use for me.

| The only thing i see and hear is Arspl is shit and gums flappin. I didn't bring the civic to the show because of reasons i wont get into right now. I promise had i brought it the score that was done would not have stood. Hell you had a computer designed box in the dodge truck that was dropped in do only one db down from it on 1500watts. What you did was not that impressive either. There are alot of people here that could benefit from some guys that know how to get loud. But honestly with your guy attitudes and behavior i really doubt you are the KINGS to teach anything but shit talk and poor phonics. I know i am now dumber having let this go on as long as it has.
My gut told me........... Never get into a argument with an idiot. They will just bring you down to there level and beat you with experience.
yep ya'll beat me. Night gentleman.

| We are far from idiots sir. WE never claimed to be the kings of spl but someone asked for help. We gave what we knew. You think you computer is the way to go WE think what we have tried is the way to go. But for you to Call me And my guys idiots is straight fucked up. Once again you have no idea what kinda power we used. You saw what we had. Before YOu start calling names you better have something better than I use a computer and I play music. Congratulations on your music playing skills. We miss spell Shit and don't use grammar correctly but this ain't no Fuckin test. We done with school... moral to this thread is you keep using your computer we'll keep beatin you. Night princess | |

| I ran the civic in 0-250. I thought it did a pretty decent # for the time i had in it for a trunk car. I actually spent more time running the power wire and figuring out how to get the battery under the hood than anything else. I used a 7 year old crx box I had laying around dropped it in and tested 2 differant ports lengths on it. I did most of my testing with the ap1500 i use for daily with my kinetik 1400 and was doin a 148.6 with that getting 1000 watts. I swapped for the d9 and the bigger batt and got it to do a 151.3 after a few burps and thats how i left it till the show. I just put a good charge on my batt for a couple days before. I literally had a days worth of work in the car. There was a few guys at the show sayin that amp was doin 5k, it was not from what i know about testing that amp previously it was more like around 3k, I had a 2.5 ohm rise and 10.5 voltage drop. Anyway guys Ive been around SPL for about 10 years and have a wealth of knowledge about stock cars etc. if anyone has any questions im always willing to help anyone to the best of my ability. My team has over 20 championships in db drag, usaci, meca and mwspl, so we can normally help people for the dash, kicker, headrest, street play, whatever. You guys arguing over car stereos is a waste of time. I learned a long time ago nobody wins a pissing match! Evan and Brad are still pretty new to spl and know how to do things the way they were taught, by either my team or asking other loud competitors how. Just because you guys do differant things doesnt mean either way is wrong, whatever works for you is what you should do. I probably wouldnt change the way ive been doing things for years either. | |

| That d9 amp will do 5k or better, maybe not how you had it wired or with that imp rise, but it is a on a weak day a 5k amp. And I will have to agree, use what works!!!

| Yeah theyll do 5k at the right impedance and batts for sure. In my testing last year we got 9800 out of a pair strapped with 3 batts with a 10.0 voltage drop at 1.2 ohm dcr. and its was .33 nominal. | |

My aq 3500's do very similar to that.
