| ^^^^^Your subs are done son. LOL Pound them til they blow. Another test is with the subs on at low volume, press the cone down and when it hits if the sub sounds loose and rattles, the coil is F'ed!!!! | |

| if the coils have a faint scent...it means the glue just baking some more....if it starts to smell like burnt cockroaches....then you are in problems...it means that the coil is becoming loose in the motor and will unravel and lock up inside the motor. | |

| that looks kinda like a sonance, but the newer sonance have a bit different motor, either way, they smell when they heat up sometimes, from my experience, but ive yet to blow one up, just back them down and let them cool, now if they are doing it all the time, id say you have a coil going out. | |

| interesting, the sonance is a 2.5 inch coil, but all the 18s have that basket, rather than the 12 spoke | |

| Joel, Steve told me it was a 3 in coil with a heavyweight cone. I don't think is was anything special prolly just the sonace v1. I have found alot of things that Steve talked about were bull shit. LOL I know I am not telling you anything you don't already know. | |
