| ok i think i got a design for my box for 2 18s but still working on how to built it
in the explorer i have these two dimension width52" height 14.5" length 35" second is width 46" height 21.5" length 35" i want to do it simple as possible but strong too 1.5 wood with 2x4 supports im in no rush right now to build but at least get a design to work with
im not sure which way is louder for the port to face i heard both facing up or toward the back for suv i was also thinking of removable port but if it cant work with the space i got then im not worried about it

If space is a problem yes. Mine is actually over 1 db louder port and sub facing rear, rather then subs up. Of course there are thousands of different factors in a certain build/vehicle. Just have to find what works best for the vehicle, enclosure, tune, and subs. You may hit a grand slam the fisr time out, but chances are your going to have to try a few different thing to get the max potential.

| i was told that you do not want to go port back subs up on a large box. I have a porta-calc so when you get your sub let me know and i can help you design a port and box. | |

| I built an Explorer last year that ran in Batesville for the season opener only. It was 2 Kicker Comp VR 15's with a zx 750.1. It did a 148.x on the stock electrical system. Oh yeah he also had a Jensen DVD player pushing it. | |

| I got some brads and a few screws if needed. I like to use F-26 for my glue. Strong bond and seals too. Never had any of my boxes blow apart using it and just brads. | |
