You run meth or nos? And is that on 93 pump gas or Q16 race?

Why not run race gas? I assume your car is roll caged and a drag only car if you are shooting for 9 second, race gas and some nos would help a great deal if the motor can handle it. And I agree drag racing is alot more of a rush then spl. It just costs more to drag then spl. My second time ever at the drag track cost me over $2000 in under 10 seconds. Half way down the track, clutch gave out. LOL

I am just going off of the world record evo drags they run race gas and big ass turbos. And I agree with the e85 comment, it is good shit, but not the octane rating of race gas. The buschur evo 8 "BAD BISH" runs race gas and does 1000+ hp, that bastard lifts the front tire off the ground when it launches, and it is awd, it still blows my mind how it does that...LOL

will im in a honda not an evo its not the same animal e85 is the future for race fuel its still new, and people are sceptikal about running it.
the cooling properties in it are far better for the temperature of the motor while doing a run on the track as well as you can run alot more timing with it over race gas to acheive more power.
tdautworks runs pump e85 in theire race civic with a k20 engine they do 1200hp

I bet you have to have a lot more fuel pump and injector too, right, I have heard, you need more e85 compared to race or pump gas? You find out the same in the honda?

Did you run this much power down the track ever, or that is the time you tried and the rod went?

i always run a 19psi base to see if the track will hold the tire pressure first pass that day was the 10.8 second was 10.4 then i turned it up to 23psi and thats when the rod went on me
my mph says its a low 10 second car to high 9 second

Looks like I'm a bit late in here, but welcome. The more Sanfords, the better.
