Port vs sub locations, ext cab trucks Empty
PostSubject: Port vs sub locations, ext cab trucks   Port vs sub locations, ext cab trucks Icon_minitimeTue Jun 19, 2012 2:41 pm

I'm thinking about a rebuild in my 97 F-150 ext cab using 2 18" Sundown NS V1s and was wondering if anyone has ever tested the difference in subs facing forward and port forward versus any other combination of port/sub location (i.e sub forward w/ port up; sub up w/ port up; sub up w/ port forward, etc).

I'm keeping everything below the window this time and plan to build some flexibility into the enclosure so I can move sub and port locations to test, but would really like to hear about someone else's results if they have already comparison tested some of these options.

I always had good luck with subs up port up, but in my sierra it was louder with subs forward port up on drivers side. I have "heard" subs forward port to the side is loudest, but yet to test. And in Buds colorado we did subs forward, port up all the way across the back. His does 155+
