Show April 25 (Little Rock)

I talked with the guys at Phoenix Audio in North Little Rock yesterday and they want to have a show. I am thinking about opening a port wars class, but would like to get some feedback on it. THe location is not 100% yet, but I know that the date will be the 25. It will be held at their shop in north little rock. 6:00-whenever. We are also going to have a port wars class

Depending on the actual rules, you would be able to put the meter pretty much anywhere, including inside the port/box.

Sounds good. The Port Wars be a seperate class? Still having the standard square inch classes as well for it? Also seperate entry fee or just use one of the 30 sec runs for port war also if seperate?

If the port wars class is made, it would be in addition to the SQ inch classes. All port wars competitors would compete against each other with no restrictions (Run what brung type). I know that equipment doesn't matter in port wars. I have a single 8" sub that can do 180+. This would be a seperate class and would require an additional entry fee, and you would get 2 runs for it also.

Well dang.. I wish i could do this show.. its actually close to me, its even on my bday,, but it also my gfs hs prom. so i guess i gotta skip this comp.. i would really like to do port wars.

Port wars is a seperate class, but to help out with the expenses we will offer a discount for running both a Sqaure inch class and port wars. If you run both entry fee for both will be $40.00, but if you just run one or the other entry is still $25.00.

how big is the meter? I got an 8inch laying around i can destroy for fun. thinking of just building a box with just a large enough port for the meter to fit and throwing my full power at it

James, for port wars we will take the mic out of the globe. The mic is about 3x5 and this class should be fun. Like I said before it isn't about power or sub size, I can do some 180+'s with a single 8" sub and about 500 watts.

Yeah thats the fun part of port wars. We used a 6 1/2 in a shoe box with 4000rms one time for fun. The sub lasted all of 1 sec but it did blow almost a 170 lol. This 8 i have is a old home audio sub. Just thought it would be fun to smoke it and put up a high number

We had so much fun yesterday at the SPL Show(hot spring group) & are looking forward to go to many more!
Does anybody know where the photos and stats are going to be posted from the show?
